Attorney Joel Brusk: Joel Brusk is a 2009 Michigan State University College of Law graduate, and life long resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Northview High School, and graduated in 1999.  After High School, Joel attended Western Michigan University.  He was first a jazz studies major, but later turned his focus to legal studies. He graduated in 2003, cum laude, with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Political Science, Public Law, and a minor in English (writing emphasis).  Joel returned to Grand Rapids in 2004, working in the medical field for two years, prior to attending Michigan State University College of Law in 2006.
 
 
While at MSU College of Law, Joel served as Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Journal of Business & Securities Law. He was also a member of the American Inns of Court.  Joel's law school experiences included: being a judicial extern in the Kent County Circuit Court; participating in the International Comparative Study Abroad Program at the Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Jaliso, Mexico; working as a summer associate at a prominent Michigan Law firm; and, working as a "virtual law clerk," for an IP law firm.  After graduating cum laude from MSU College of Law, Joel took and passed the July 2009 Michigan Bar Exam, and was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November 2009.
 
Joel opened his law practice in Grand Rapids in November 2009.  He currently resides with his wife, Tricia, in Grand Rapids.  He has been fortunate to gain much experience working with three attorneys in Grand Rapids. Such experience includes: misdemeanor criminal defense; general civil defense litigation; family law / divorce litigation; federal criminal defense litigation; and criminal and civil appellate work.
